Before you will start to glue confirm chip you should measure height landing for AF confirm chip. Height will be about 5.3-5.5 mm. If it less, you’d increase it with small piece of a cardboard. Some rings have about 6mm height. This ring can spoil AF chip because of friction
In this case you should to grind off superfluous height.
If the ring has smooth anodized cover you just abrasive it, otherwise AF chip will not keep.
Don’t glue AF chip at the edge of the ring!
Recede from the ring edge about 0.5mm.
The best variant is to use the gauge ring. Gauge ring is made from soft plastic, so don’t press on AF chip when glue. Be careful!
Use superglue. Better if it will be gel. Don’t extrude glue on the ring!
Extrude a drop of glue on a piece of plastic.
Transfer glue with match or toothpick. Don’t grate the glue, otherwise it will dry up!
After that put AF chip with gauge ring quickly.
For glue L-steel use “slow” glue for plastic. The best variant is to use glue for plastic models. Superglue is very fast and you don’t have any time for correction AF-chip position. So don’t use superglue!
Paste glue on L-steel, apply it to AF-chip and wait some minutes before it will be dry.
Correct L-steel position on AF-chip. All would be according to the gauge ring.
After that glue this construction with superglue to the ring. Follow above-described rules.
